Overview

DRF in line with its vision works with the community, government and private sector to address adaptive social problems to bring lasting change and improve overall outcomes for the ecosystem. We focus on supporting initiatives aimed at building a strong and vibrant social sector in India.

In collaboration with IIM-B and Phicus, ARITRA (leadership development program) was launched to address the growing shortage of skilled talent at senior levels in the social sector.

Key Issues

500 non-profit professionals singled out leadership development and succession planning as their biggest

organisational weaknesses.

Research with 50 social sector organisations and 100 senior leaders have emphasised on

lack of investment

for leadership development.

Alignment with UN SDGs

All our work in the area of social sector initiatives aligns with the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goals:

SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth

SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals

Our Initiatives

The Aritra Program is a 12-month intensive, fast-track leadership module. It includes residential modules at IIM-B, co-anchored by academicians and practitioners, one-on-one coaching, mentoring by social sector leaders, e-learning supplements, peer sessions and real-time problem solving exercises. Aritra Fellows learn skills to drive impactful policies and build strong organizations.
